Patches and Pumper, and Pluggie Too

Patches is stationed with our firefighters at Engine 4 on Prospect Street but is most well known for his touring of schools and public events. Of course you can also find him here online. Through the years, we've trained this dalmation to talk and drive fire truck. He helps us at all the public schools in Waltham teaching fire and life safety.  During Fire Prevention Week and throughout the year, you'll find Patches and our Waltham Firefighters/S.A.F.E. instructors at City events and in classrooms teaching valuable lessons. Don't forget about pluggie either. This talking hydrant is good friends with Patches and taught him the ropes about teaching fire and life safety.
